everyone, Since
being at this showground, we have incurred several
unforeseen costs, and with the economic climate as
it is, the numbers are down on previous years;
though we have had a whole load of ‘new’ members
joining. We have run up a few bills, and we are
doing our utmost to work out of the situation, we
always have our assets to fall back on if needs be, but
we are reluctant to sell anything unless we have to,
as it took us years to get them. Please continue to
support your club in any way you can to ensure our
future success. We could also do with a few more
sponsors for our classes, if you know of anyone
please speak to Gareth, Mary or me. The
new 200 Club We
are starting the ‘200 Club’ imminently so for
monthly standing order of just £10 you could win
one of 12 prizes each month towards your next show
bill, membership renewal, or even sponsorship. As
there will be a maximum of only 200 places; with 144
prizes throughout the year means there is a real
chance of winning something. Have a look at it, and
if you want to have a go, send your entry form to
Gareth. All prizes will be kept in a separate bank
account, and will be kept there until you draw them
off on your show or membership account. This venture
will also help the Club financially, so it is good
for all of us. ‘Sponsor
a tree’ As a result of our planning application, we will need to plant some trees. These will be natural English trees in keeping with the local area, like Beech, Ash, and Oak. We ask you to help us with this by ‘Sponsoring a tree’. For just £15 you can donate a tree and add your own small plaque so that future generations will be able to see who donated them. The £15 includes us supplying the tree, a stake and protection wrap, and the planting cost. If you add a plaque, please keep it small with a maximum size of 250mm x 100mm. We can get them done for you at a ‘special rate’ if you want us to. Why not use it to remember your family, a belated family member or of course your horse or dog. When we have the planting plan, the sequence of booking will be the order of location choice for your tree in the scheme, so please book early if you want that choice.
